Do we go back in time, or do we move forward with energy, optimism, transparency, and a desire to make our economy better while improving our city for its residents and visitors.

Joe’s Contract with Miami
As a long time resident of Miami, I am proud to call this city my home.
I have had the honor of serving on the City Commission for 10 years, and
I am humbled by the support I am receiving and the words of encouragement
I get on a daily basis as I seek to become your Mayor.
I am prepared to lead Miami into the future and I am ready to fight for
and protect your tax dollars.
I will not be held hostage by any organization or special interest group.
My mission is to make our City government run transparently and
efficiently while our residents receive the highest quality of services that
they justly deserve and pay for.
I am running for Mayor to make a difference for my family and yours.
This is our City and like you, I want what is best for all of us.
Help me help you.
Therefore,
I, Joe Sanchez, pledge to the residents and taxpayers of the
City of Miami that I will:
One, oppose any and all efforts to increase any taxes, and/or any
City of Miami Fees; and
Two, analyze the City budget on a line by line basis, cutting
expenses, and promoting a lean “Live within our means” budget; and
Three, advocate to renegotiate highly paid City employee’s salaries and benefits; and
Four, advocate to renegotiate Union Contracts and related pension costs; and
Five, ensure the well being of our senior citizens; and
Six, ensure that our City is safe to live, work, and play; and
Seven, collaborate with our Educational
System to ensure our children are prepared well for the future; and
Eight, ensure that our City adopts and puts into action “green”
initiatives to conserve energy and protect our environment; and
Nine, ensure that the creation of sustainable jobs and opportunities for all
of Miami residents remains a priority.
This is my Pledge to you, my City of Miami friends and neighbors.
I solemnly swear that I will strive to achieve the above and uphold my deep
moral and ethical commitment to you and Miami, our “Magic City.”
